Dr. Matthew Verheul

MATTHEW VERHEUL, DDS

Dr. Matt was born in Minneapolis, MN, but grew up in Sioux Falls, SD. He graduated from South Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and then went on to the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. While there, he met his wife, Dr. Taylor. After earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, he and Dr. Taylor returned to Sioux Falls to practice for a couple of years before deciding to move to the mountains of Colorado. Dr. Matt is a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Carbondale Chamber of Commerce, and is an associate member of the American Association of Endodontists. Dr. Matt enjoys many of the outdoor activities of the valley, including golf and mountain biking in the warm months, and during the winter, he skis and snowboards.

Dr. Tayler M. Verheul

Taylor Verheul, DDS

Dr. Taylor was born and raised in Montana. She has always dreamed of living and raising a family in the mountains.  She earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, then went on to study at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Since receiving her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the U of M, she has been involved in Mission Dental trips to Jamaica and continuing education to stay current on advances in the field. Dr. Taylor is a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, and Carbondale Chamber of Commerce. When she is not busy, you will find her hitting the slopes or biking the many trails around the area and chasing her five year old son. Dr. Taylor values communication and is dedicated to making sure her patients feel cared for and informed.

Darryl Gasca, DDS, MSD, Periodontist

Darryl Gasca, DDS, MSD, Periodontist

Dr. Gasca received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biochemistry, Biophysics and Molecular Biology at Whitman College in Walla Walla, WA. At Whitman College, he completed his thesis research pertaining to protein markers in neuron synapses. This research was intended to expand the knowledge of interactions between neural cell communication, which mimics numerous drug pathways in neurological diseases.

He further went on to attend New York University’s College of Dentistry where he graduated with honors. Upon graduation he was inducted as a member of the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. Gasca pursued his specialty training and earned his certificate in periodontics at the University of Washington in Seattle. Here Dr. Gasca also completed his master’s thesis.

In his free time, Dr. Gasca loves being outdoors as much as possible with his wonderful wife, Sarah. Whether this includes fly-fishing, golfing, biking, hiking, or training for his next race, Dr. Gasca loves being outside and in the sunshine.
